Dial Wood Carriage Driving for the Disabled offers opportunities for disabled people to learn carriage driving and horse care, or simply come and enjoy the fresh air and be taken for a carriage drive.

We are situated in Flockton - a rural setting between Huddersfield and Wakefield.

Our Centre was officially opened by HRH Princess Anne in 1999 and we offer Carriage driving and activities with ponies to disabled people - whether they are ambulant or wheelchair users.

We run sessions all year round on a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

We are part of the National RDA

The Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is a federation of Member Groups, which are dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities, through the provision of opportunities for riding and/or carriage driving.

Groups enable people to improve their health and wellbeing, delivering a real and lasting therapy that not only benefits mobility and co-ordination, but encourages confidence and self worth whilst having fun.
